Mission of Examination Section
Examination Section formulates standard operating procedures for various examinations, conducts and analyses all examinations in a fair and unbiased manner. The compilation and declaration of results is done in consultation with the Competent Authority. Besides this, examination section keeps all records pertaining to examinations also.
Activities of Examination Section and Its Various Committees
Functions-
- Conducting all the internal and professional examination throughout year in a fair and transparent manner
- Conducting Entrance examinations for academic courses biannually.
- Keeping confidential records of each examination.
- Preparation of question banks for MBBS and other courses for future use.
- Guiding the assessment process for various examinations based on recent trends, worldwide.
Future Plan of Department/Section-
- Conducting training of all faculty on Assessment methods for various exams for faculty development
- Development of Manual of Assessment at AIIMS, Rishikesh.
- Compilation of Question bank in a systematic manner for MBBS and BSc Nursing courses
- with coding of each clinical vignette for ease in retrieval.
- Back up of all examination’s question papers and question banks to be kept in hard disk and cloud.
- Training of all staff on handling Excel, google drive, working on email while using google drive options.
- Automated portal system for receiving questions from external and internal examiners.
- Streamlining of all internal processes involved in the conduct of an exam which involves preliminary checking of question papers for its appropriateness, preparation of checklist of tasks to be done, compilation of all letters to be sent for an exam, compilation of all note sheets, checklist of work and items to be arranged for the day of exam, Revision of OMR sheet, Responsibilities of support staff, invigilators, chief invigilators, examination superintendent, format of remuneration etc.
- Training of examination support staff regarding various processes during conduct of an examination.
