B.Sc. (Sleep Technology and Electrical Neurophysiology ) | Curriculum BSc Sleep Technology | 3 years | 4 | Many of the sleep disorders can be diagnosed clinically, however, some of them require objective assessment for proper diagnosis. Common objective diagnostic methods involve use of actigraphy and polysomnography. Besides diagnosis, these techniques are also required for management of sleep disorders as well as keeping a track of progress of therapy. Sleep Technology is a specialty that deals with technological aspects of assessment and management of sleep disorders. Despite the high prevalence of sleep disorders, certified sleep technologists can be counted on fingers, especially in India. It leaves a lot of patients in poorly treated state. Hence, a huge gap exists in demand and supply in this area. |
