Pediatric Surgery
Vision:
The Department of Pediatric Surgery considers the primary vision to be – providing and promoting excellent surgical care to the future of tomorrow, that is, the children of today. We deeply feel that children have years ahead of them to live. To be born with a congenital problem should not limit them and neither should it grieve or inhibit the parents. The treatment to most of the anomalies and diseases in the children is evolving, with evidence, research and the modernization of resources and we believe that this should reach out to all the unfortunate children, giving them hope and a better future. Centre of Excellence in Pediatric Surgery care is what we aspire and is also the dire need of the people of this remote region. Considering the care in toto of a child to be very essential, we will strive to collaborate with and also learn with the other disciplines, the most effective and prudent treatment of any usual and unusual pediatric case. Excellence in training the younger pediatric surgeons is also another goal and vision of the department.
Mission statement:
Providing the highest quality pediatric patient care, innovative medical research and excellent training to the junior surgeons.
