Services
OPD: We are running outpatient clinics 6 days in a week. We are also running dedicated evening speciality clinics 3 days a week for Valvular heart disease, Heart Failure and Thoracic surgery. We are catering to the majority of the state population along with patients from western U.P. and Delhi NCR. We are committed to provide outpatient services on all holidays as well. We are catering to all patients of Heart, Lung and Vascular diseases on daily basis.
IPD: We have a 26 bedded indoor patient department (including 10 HDU beds) with State-of-the-art facilities like central monitoring, bedside echo facility, invasive pressure monitoring etc. We have a dedicated and competent team of Residents and Nurses who are experienced in management of cardiac patients.
ICU/Post-op: We have a dedicated Post-op ICU for cardiac critical care, wherein we have round the clock management by faculty and senior resident doctors from cardiac anaesthesia and cardiac critical care, ably aided by a team of junior residents and trained nursing personnel. We also have specialised facilities for neonatal cardiac care.
Operating Room: We have two hi-tech modular operating rooms adjacent to the critical care unit with all modern facilities. Both the operating rooms are fully equipped to handle parallel running cardiac cases.
We are doing a complete spectrum of Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgical procedures viz. CABG: Both Off pump and On-pump [including total arterial revascularisation], all types of valvular heart surgery, repair of septal defects, cardiac tumours etc. We are also performing these procedures through minimal access.

We have a separate division of paediatric cardiac surgery dedicated to surgical management of all types of cyanotic and acyanotic heart conditions.

management to various vascular conditions in collaboration with a dedicated team of intervention radiologist for endovascular interventions. We are also routinely doing surgeries for haemodialysis access.

We have also been organising various workshops and programs not only for the academia but also for the common masses.

Under the dynamic leadership of our Honourable Director Sir we are India’s fastest growing CTVS department in government sector. All patients benefitted under Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Atal Ayushman Yojana and Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) are provided treatment free of cost.

Expansion plan
Clinical Services:
- We are building our Heart-Lung Transplant Program to initiate Heart & Lung Transplantation in the state of Uttarakhand.
- We are also looking forward to establish a Homograft Valve and Tissue bank which will greatly help management of a variety of cardiac ailments.
- A separate cardio-neuro center in accordance to the AIIMS New Delhi model is going to be established very soon in the near future. It will greatly boost our range of services provided.
Research:
AIIMS being a centre of excellence for teaching and research, Department of CTVS has special focus on training, teaching and research in the entire spectrum of cardiovascular diseases. We also try to inculcate research aptitude in our undergraduate and post graduate students.
