The Trauma Centre at the AIIMS, Rishikesh aims to become the leading institute for national and international trauma research. We here at our Trauma Centre wants to address fundamental and major issues of injury in its broadest sense. It’s a well-known fact that trauma affects major loss in its countries financial growth, we are here for its prevention by research, patient care and after effect of Trauma as whole.

Trauma systems include entire care continuum, starting at the time of injury, with a patient’s access to care, and extending through rehabilitation process.

A trauma centre is more than just a hospital or emergency room. It is a very specialized facility that has dedicated personnel, resources and facilities to care for severe and debilitating injuries.

AIIMS Rishikesh Trauma Centre is equipped to handle most severe emergencies including those resulting from falls, motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, assaults and burns.

Our Level I Trauma Centre at AIIMS, Rishikesh provides most extensive range and quality of trauma care in Uttarakhand and nearby state, serving as adult as well as Paediatric Level I trauma centre in India.

Our Trauma care specialists, accredited/certified staff, dedicated equipment and sophisticated resources are readily available when trauma patients arrive. We have specialised Trauma Team including, Trauma Surgeon, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Neurosurgeon, anaesthesiologist, plastics surgeons, critical care specialists, and radiologists to provide exceptional care as injuries dictate under single roof.

Our Trauma centre has state-of-the-art Trauma bay in ED for severely injured patients, completely updated equipment including 9 operating room, CT Scan, MRI and DSA dedicated specifically to trauma 24X 7.

AIIMS Rishikesh Trauma team also make every effort to prevent trauma injuries through its community outreach programs.

We are about to start our Medical Ambulance Facilities.
