  1. Vision: Anatomy department aims to be one of the leading centres of country in advance, skill based and clinically oriented medical teaching and research across the breadth of discipline of Anatomical Sciences. We are committed to provide high quality medical teaching and learning for undergraduate and postgraduate students including imaging and clinical advances as competency based curriculum. Our teaching methodology include soft skills, communication, behaviour as well as clinical skill teaching, learning and evaluation by OSCE, clinical vignettes ,reason assertion based questions and integrated clinical lectures with small group teachings including , group discussions, seminars and quizzes. Our state of art Virtual dissection lab is a great facility for hands on training for dissection and surgical planning skill development for medical graduates and post graduates. It will strive to attract and retain most talented students of our country and provide appropriate physical resources that will facilitate research and learning to become best medical graduates and postgraduates.

Acquire in depth knowledge of structure of human body from gross to molecular level, and correlate it with the function/clinical anatomy.

Comprehend principles underlying structural organization of body and provide anatomical explanations for clinical entities.

Acquire knowledge of basic principles of normal growth and differentiation, understand critical periods of human growth and development. Analyze  congenital malformation , know the etiological factors including genetic mechanism involved in abnormal development and their effects on functions.

Have comprehensive knowledge of basic structure and correlated function of nervous system in order to understand altered state in various disease processes.

Plan and implement teaching programmes for undergraduate medical students and evaluation of undergraduate teaching.

Develop / acquire an attitude of scientific enquiry and learn contemporary research techniques. Be familiar with recent scientific advances, identify lacunae in existing knowledge in a given area and be able to plan investigative procedures for research, analyze data critically and derive logical conclusions
