Trauma is leading killer in 15-45 year age group. Mortality from Road Traffic Injuries is staggering high: India carries unfortunate distinction of maximum road traffic deaths in world (WHO 2014).  Improving Trauma Care is need of hour in our country and teaching & training of doctors in Advanced Trauma Life Support is one way of doing it. Similar teaching & training of nurses in Trauma Care is provided by Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses courses.

Under visionary and dynamic leadership of Hon’ble Director & CEO Prof Ravi Kant, AIIMS Rishikesh is first of all peripheral AIIMS to start this program.
